This procedure is successfully practiced worldwide. It is a redistribution of hair units (grafts) from the donor zone which serves mainly the occipital region into the baldness zone. The occipital region is the most densely populated and androgen independent zone, i.e. it is not susceptible to the attack of the male hormone dihydrotestosteron (DHT).
Dihydrotestosteron (DHT) is an androgen that is most closely associated with male hair loss. Operation technique
A non-suture operation method called FUE (FOLLICULAR UNIT EXTRATION) is performed at OK Center clinic in Kharkov, which is considered to be the most up-to-date and safe method. It does not leave scars and has a minimum rehabilitation period.
The operation is carried out in 3 stages:

Postoperative period
The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis in one day. It does not require hospitalization and isolation from everyday life. Small wounds which diameter is usually no larger than the injection mark heal within a few days without causing bruising and swelling which are often found during the surgery.
What should be expected?
1st night:
After the hair transplant surgery you will have a bandage on the donor part and a bandage on the head around your forehead to avoid swelling on your face. You will see crusts in the recipient area and small red holes in the donor area that generally heal within 15 days.
You may feel swelling, itching, and weak pain a couple of days after a hair transplant operation. These symptoms can be alleviated with ice, emollient lotions, or some symptomatic medications recommended by your doctor.
Day 1
Clinic dressing is done. After that your bandage will be removed.
Day 4
You must begin the procedure of washing your hair after surgery strictly following the doctor’s recommendations.
Day 5 - 7
Transplanted grafts will become stronger and will not fall out when touched. You must avoid scratches and mechanical damage. In 4-5 days after surgery the hair in the transplanted area will begin to fall out and this will go on up to 2-3 months. After that new, permanent hair will start growing.
Day 15 - 30
In 2-3 weeks your appearance will become normal. People will not understand that you had a hair transplant operation carried out.
2 - 3 month
The active stage of first hair growth begins.
4 - 6 month
During the 4th month the hair growth rate will increase and within the 6th month you will see half of the outcome and some obvious changes.
6 - 12 month
Transplanted hair will continue to grow and become thicker.
12 - 18 month
12-18 months later you will see the final outcome of the hair transplant surgery. You will get a look of more intense, longer and thicker hair. The final result will be declared 12-15 months after surgery on the front surface and from 18 to 20 months in the upper part.
